Throw-away culture is fueling the climate crisis. The fashion industry is responsible for a huge amount of pollution, up to 10% of global carbon emissions and 20% of water pollution.
Challenge yourself to only buy pre-loved clothes for one year. Sites like eBay, Vinted, Vestiaire and Depop have amazing designer, high street and vintage clothes at a fraction of the price of new or check out your local charity shops, markets and car boot sales - you are guaranteed to get a more original look and you won't be contributing to the problem.
When you are choosing what to buy, try to choose things you are likely to get 30+ wears out of or keep in your wardrobe for a very long time, buy favourites, not landfill!
